My entry for SpinTunes #16 Round 2, where we tasked with writing a song that featured counting. I was reminded of the old School House Rock episodes on Saturday mornings that were fun and also educational... "3 Is A Magic Number" etc., so that was a big part of my inspiration. As anyone who knows me can tell you I am a total electric piano fiend so it was great to get to use that voicing in this challenge as well. In the end this came out sort of uh, Herbie Hancock-esque I guess ... in my mind's eye I can see the animated video for this now ...

It was noted in biology
Expressed in trees in the number of leaves, and also ancestry
You can see a Fibonacci sequence in gastronomy
Just count the buds on a romanesco broccoli

1) Fibonacci can be found in the symphonies of Debussy and Erik Satie
2) Golden ratio is crucial to the work of Mondrian, Dali and Da Vinci
3) Apply it to astronomy, see a spiral galaxy
4) Just take a look around you, I guarantee that you will see
